Aceasta diorama la scara 1/32 are ca subiect principal un vehicul blindat de lupta ce in realitate nu exista. Macheta este o jucarie fabricata de compania New Ray, si este defapt o combinatie intre 3 blindate diferite, AVGP Cougar Canadian, LAV-25’ul American al puscasilor marini si LAV-300 al Fortelor Armate Filipineze. Diorama prezinta in teorie o scena din primul razboi din golf, operatiunea Desert Storm in 1991. Detaliile extra adaugate la macheta sunt prelata si cutia puse in spatele turelei, dispersatorul de gaze si ochitorul laser de la gura tunului, si antenele radio.

This 1/32 scale diorama presents an AFV that in reality does not exist. It’s a toy manufactured by the company New Ray, and it’s a combination between 3 vehicles: the AVGP Cougar of the Canadian Army, the LAV-25 of the US Marines, and the LAV-300 of the Filipino forces. It looked so good, that I decided to paint it and create a theoretical Desert Storm diorama. The extra details on it are the box and tent foil on the back of the turret, the radio antennas, and half of a muzzle break and laser aim system on the front of the gun.

New 1/72 Panzer 3-L // Panzer 3-L Nou

This is the new Panzer 3-L for my RAT WAR diorama. This summer, the tank on the diorama was unfortunately “melted” by the Sun, as can be clearly seen in the comparison photos. I’ve taken the time to remake it this week, and I repainted my Tunisia 1/72 variant for Stalingrad. The only difference, are the markings of the 2 and the new one has the wider armor plate in the front of the turret. Enjoy.

Noul Panzer 3-L la scara 1/72 pentru diorama Razboiul Sobolanilor. Datorita unui accident vechiul tanc de pe diorama a fost topit de soare, asa ca mi-am rezervat saptamana asta pentru repararea dioramei. Noul tanc are marcajele diferite, si placa de armure din fata turelei mai larga. Am revopsit un Panzer 3-L care initial il facusem pentru Tunisia ’43.

Diorama la scara 1/72 ce prezinta Politia Franceza in actiune pe strazile din Paris in anii ’90. Vehiculele dioramei sunt o dubita Renault Traffic si un Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 achizitionate gata facute din metal. Figurinele de politisti, jandarmi si civili provin de la firma Prieser, si intreaga adiorama, a carei tema generala a fost “Politia”, a fost efectuata pe comanda. Pentru constructia decorului am folosit carton, acuarele, plastic, metal, hartie, lipici, lemn si pomul artificial gata facut. Timpul de lucru a fost 58 de zile, lucrand in medie cate 4 ore pe zi.

A special order diorama on a 1/72 scale I completed over 58 days of work. It features the French Police and Gendarmerie in action on the streets of Paris in the 90’s. I built the entire street out of hard paper, wood, plastic, metal, paper, water colors and glue, and added the artificial tree. The 2 vehicles are metal cast 1/72 scale Renault Traffic police van, and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 Interceptor of the French Gendarmerie. The figurines come from Prieser from 2 sets, civilians and uniformed people. I’ve worked on this order about 4 hours a day.

P-38 Lightning / Maisto Metal Cast Model

Macheta realizata in metal si plastic a faimosului avion de vanatoare American P-38 Lightning. Acest avion este fabricat de firma Maisto, dar are cateva dezavantaje. Rotile sint direct prinse in fuselaj, partea dorsala este facuta intr-un plastic gri ce vrea sa replicheze metalul, iar insemnele de escadron nu sunt prezente pe avion. Aceasta macheta a fost remodelata, rotile au fost taiate din fuselaj, partea dorsala a fost vopsita in metal, iar conurile eliciilor si stabilizatoarele orizontale au fost vopsite in rosu precum variantele ce au luptat in Pacific.

A remodeled Maisto metal airplane, the P-38 Lightning. The gray plastic belly was painted in silver after removing the plastic wheels, and the Pacific red markings were added. Although this little metal plane is not very acurate, it looks ok for display after remodeling.

Macheta a avionului Fokker DR.1 la scara 1/72. Aceasta macheta provine de la firma RODEN, si este destul de dificila datorita calitatii pieselor sale. Necesita multa munca, sunt strambe, planul de asamblare nu corespunde cu piesele sau avionul real, iar abtipildele cu marcaje au tendinta de a se rupe in mici bucatele. Nu este o macheta extraordinara, si necesita multa munca si rabdare pt a fi asamblata si vopsita. Rezultatul final este satisfacator si cam atat. Acest avion este unul din cele 3 aparate pilotate de faimosul Manfred von Richtofen - Baronul Rosu, si este datat 13 Martie 1918.

The Fokker Dr.1 from RODEN on a 1/72 scale. Personaly i wouldn't recomand this model to anyone, and building it i understood why most of the modeled WW1 planes are modeled on large scales such as 1/32. This one in particular has all the problems a poor model should have. The building scheme does not in some parts match the actual plane or parts, allmost all the parts are poorly made and need a lot of work, and probbably the worst thing, it has virtually no assembly slots for the parts. It takes a huge ammount of work and patience to complete, but this is the end result after almost a full month of working on it on and off. This particular plane is one of the 3 flown by the famous Manfred von Richtofen - The Red Baron, aand it's dated March 13'th 1918. Enjoy and peace!

This is the B-17 F from Academy models. It's a 1:200 scale model made quite poorly. The pieces didn't match up propperly, and needed a lot of work, so assembly took quite a bit. Another downer is that it didn't have any clear plastic pieces for the windows, so they have to be painted either in black or some metalizer. I've added the machineguns myself, because a B-17 without it's machineguns looks like a passenger aircraft :). I made them from wire painted in Gunmetal black. Despite it's drawbacks it makes an ok display model for a shelf.

Macheta bombardierului B-17 F al firmei Academy. Modelul este realizat la scara 1:200. Dezavantajele machetei sunt cateva: in primul rand piesele sunt turnate slabut, si nu se potrivesc la asamblare, trebuie slefuite, pilite; nu contine geamuri din plastic transparent, acestea fiind turnate direct in forma modelului, necesitand vopsirea in negru sau un metalizator pt efectul de geam. Modelului i s-au adaugat mitralierele facute din sarma vopsita in metalizator inchis. In total, in ciuda dezavantajelor machetei, este ok pentru un model de raft.

Junkers Ju-87 B2 "STUKA"

The JU-87 B2 Stuka From Zvezda. This little thing is a very small 1/144 scale model made for a war board game by the company. It was never designed to be painted, but i coulodn't help myself, i had to do it. I painted it for 1940, Battle of Britain. Things that need to be mentioned are that the plastic it's made from doesn't go well with paint. The paint dries as soon as it touches it, so i had to paint it Dry Brush. Second, the rear machinegun, the forward machineguns and the support antena on the cockpit were not on the model. I added them myself. I used all sorts of markings from different kits since it had only the crosses and some very big black numbers as decals. Overall it came out as a nice model for my shelf collection.

"Cadou de Craciun", diorama la scara 1/72 a unui post de mortiera in mijlocul luptelor ce s-au dat in iarna 1944-45 in timpul Bataliei din Ardeni. Diorama provine de la un tanc M-24 al firmei Revell, figurinele sunt produse tot de firma Revell, iar Jeepul MP (Politie Militara) este o macheta turnata in metal ce a fost remodelata pt aceasta diorama. Elementele adaugate in plus sunt cutia de munitii pt mortiera, cutia de munitii si cantina din spatele Jeepului, si bradul.

"XMAS PRESENT" is my latest 1/72 scale diorama. An outpost in the middle of the famous Battle of the Bulge during the winter of 1944-45. The small diorama on the base comes from the current M-24 sold by Revell, the figures are from Revell, and the jeep is a metal cast toy i bought some time ago from a toy store. The little diorama didn't include the tree or the ammo box for the mortar, i've added those myself for efect. Also, i've added a big ammo box in the back of the jeep and a US canteen (not so easy to model on such a small scale). The jeep was easy, it was already painted, all it needed was some modeler's touches. The figures are easy when you got the basic colors. The ideea behind this is that a mortar pit on the side of a road fires at a wondering German patrol, and an MP (military police, see the 2 guys near the jeep, they have armbands marked MP, and the NCO also has it visible on the helmet) pulls up in their Jeep to investigate, while the NCO calls in for support on his portable radio. I hope everybody enjoys this one :) since the hollydays are getting near. Cheers!

Diorama la scara 1/72 a unui P-51D Mustang an Fortelor Aeriene Regale Britanice, apartinand escadronului 65, aprilie 1945. Macheta provine de la firma Italeri, iar elementele aditionale constau in personal de sol ce transporta munitii si echipament pentru reinarmarea avionului de vanatoare. Pilotul se afla langa avion, precum arata si pozele.

"Deadly Angel", a P-51D Mustang of RAF 65'th Squadron in April 1945. To explain this diorama, i can only describe it as hell. Everything that could have gon wrong with this one, actually went wrong. First of all. the 6 RAF guys were made from the WORST PLASTIC IN HUMAN HISTORY!!!! it was blue, and extremely greasy. In fact still greasy after washing them in detergent solution 4 times, and gasoline, and some extra strong degreasing solution. No paint would stick to them, it was just gathering up in points. So, the only way i could paint them, was to mix a gloss blue with some shades of grey to get the RAF blus, leave the thing a whole 12 hours to semi-dry, and then dip the figurines in it and hang thwm out to dry. That's why the uniforms look greasy. :) Second, The P-51D, although an ITALERI kit, was mean from the very begining. Most of the pieces didn't really match up. Some of the Marking stickers broke in small bits after putting them in water, so i had to apply them like building a very very very small puzzle. It was a lot of hard work in the end, and i'm not completley sattisfied with it, but i hop that all of you will enjoy it!

Baza Aeriana Landsberg, 1944 // Landsberg Air Base, 1944

This is my latest work, my 2 in 1, 1/72 scale diorama of Landsberg Air Base, 1944. The bigger diorama has a FW-190 F3 Fighter getting ready for take off. Some of the elements included in this one are a watch tower with officers, a machine gunner, a radio operator, a general and his assistant are next to a Kubelwagen near the tower, the General saluting a NCO near some bombs prepared for loading, a Fuel truck driving towards the plane to refuel, and the pilot checking the first aid kit compartiment. The fuel truck i made out of scrap plastic pieces, since i didin't have a real model to build.

The second one has an interesting story. I saw an old archive picture from 1944, from a camera mounted on a P51 Mustang fighter that shot down a FW-190 while it was landing. The film shows how one of the bullets hits the canopy, and the other blows off a prop blade. So, the plane, i placed on the diorama shows a FW-190 A-5 U14 Torpedo Bomber v4 with lots of holes in it, a broken prop blade and canopy beeing repaired by ground personell.

Diorama 2 in 1 a Bazei Aeriene Landsberg. Scara la care aceasta diorama a fost construita este 1/72. Elementele principale sunt 2 avioane FW-190, o cisterna de combustibil, un Kubelwagen si un turn de observatie. Figurinele provin de la firmele Matchbox, Mars, si Revell. Avionul de vanatoare din diorama 1 (mare) este un FW-190 F3 de vanatoare, iar cel din diorama 2 este un FW-190 A-5 U14 torpilor al firmei Revell. Cel din diorama 1 apartine firmei Heller. Diorama este realizata in cele mai mici detalii.

Diorama ce prezinta Operatiunea Market Garden, Olanda 1944. Realizata la scara 1/35, reprezinte luptele ce s-au dat in Arnhem de catre parasutistii Britanici ai Diviziei 2-Para. Cele 4 figurine provin de la firma Dragon, sunt inarmati cu arme standard Britanice si Germane capturate din lipsa de munitie (MP-40). Elementele dioramei includ si un obstacol anti-tanc si o mitraliera MG-42 distrusa in lupta.

This 1/35 scale diorama presents Operation Market Garden, Holland 1944. It depicts the battles fought by the British Paratroopers of 2’nd Para in Arnhem. The 4 figurines come from Dragon, and are armed with standard British infantry weapons, and captured German weapons such as the MP-40, due to the lack of ammunition in the final days of the battle. The elements on the diorama are an anti-tank obstacle, and an MG-42 machinegun destroyed in action.
